Fault Current Limiters:

Operates at ambient temperatures without the use of superconductors
Does not require maintenance of cryogenic temperatures typical of superconductors
The response time is similar to superconductor – inductor combinations to limit the current to the specified level
Cost of operation is a fraction of super conducting technology for similar functionality
Works on the principle of variable permeability of a special un-isotropic material core resulting into current proportional variable impedance of the device

FCMA soft starters:

Magnetic Amplification technology applied to develop an analog soft starter
Significantly reduces current required to start motors, thus reducing the overall system load requirements
Magnetic Amplication technology creates “Zero Harmonics”
Ideal for high voltage, high current applications

Our FCMA soft starters have no moving parts & are therefore very reliable & almost maintenance free

We also offer combined FCMA and Fault Current Limiter solutions. Most of the major faults happen in Motor applications. When FCMA and FCL are used together for any motor, the fault current is limited to a low value in les than 10 Milliseconds. This prevents short circuit in motor circuit from affecting the rest of the network. The capacity of the circuit beakers can also be reduced as much lower current now flows to it.
